Happy New Year!

I know I'm a couple of days early, but I know I won't get another chance before 2012 rings in. My workplace shuts down for the week between Christmas and New Years - so I'm out on 'forced' vacation. The boys' preschool is closed too, so we're having a ball! We're having unseasonably warm weather, so have been hiking, visiting our favorite nature centers, going to the zoo... On the one cold day, we headed to the Mall of America to celebrate my partner's birthday, shop, and run the halls. We also had the twins' pick out their birthday presents a couple weeks early. One has discovered 'little' legos (for the 5 and up crowd) which includes both fire and police sets - he's our fireman. The other twin opted for a Tinkerbell set from the Disney store as he's been fascinated with fairies since first seeing the Tinkerbell movie a couple months ago - he's our artist. Doodle #3 needed new shoes and found a pair of light-up Spiderman shoes that he absolutely loves. It was good we let them do the picking as I would have struck out on all three!

I have a wonderful table runner to share with you - it was my 2011 SSCS present from Kate.

Isn't it great?! I'll likely add a hanging sleeve and make it a wall hanging. As the boys get older, we're getting more and more into decorating - and the walls need help at Christmas! All I have at this point is a cross stitched Santa in a wreath that my mom made and a small stitched Nativity that I made. This will make a great addition! Thanks Kate!

I have more gifts and pictures to share, but will save that for next week when life goes back to 'normal'!
