I thought I'd be lucky to finish the Long Beach washcloth over the weekend, and whoohoo! I managed to finish two! Well, one Long Beach and one basic...
It's all thanks to the movie '2010'. It took three nights - watching it after all doodles were tucked into bed. I guess I was trying to keep up with John Cusack with my knitting needles. All that's left is tucking in the yarn ends - which is my least favorite part.
For other good news, I've almost used up the orange yarn! It's not that I have anything against orange - it's just not my first choice for color. It is, however, THE color of choice for the under 4 set - and the under 4 set were with me when I last bought yarn. I was perusing the nice earth tones, drooling over several soft color combinations when I heard squeals of delight from down the aisle. How can a mom say no when her doodles get so excited about a skein of yarn?
I should also point out that the doodles also helped me celebrate my re-entrance to the world of gardening this year - as shown by the predominance of orange flowers throughout our yard. They did stray as far as yellow when orange flowers weren't available. I've just been basking in the orange glow, enjoying their interest and knowing all too soon all three doodles will be far too busy to bother with mom's hobbies...

Thanks for stopping by my blog and good luck on the giveaway. Orange isn't my first choice of favorites either but who can argue with doodles! I am finising a blue and orange quilt this week as a wedding gift. It will be on my blog on Sunday probably. I really like the way it turned out and the colors are perfect for the young bride receiving it.
