Jeanne, the recipient of my tote package in the totebag swap has received and opened her package, so I'm free to share the tote I made.
When I first came across lunch bag tutorial at the Pink Penguin, I knew it was something I wanted to make. When I heard about the totebag swap, the wheels started turning, and a modified lunch bag came to mind. Here is the result:
I made the bag quite a bit longer and just used soft cottons. I decided to go for a "stripie" look, making one stripe larger than the rest and adding a couple stitched snowflakes. I really like how the top can be cinched up to keep smaller items inside. It could be used as a purse or even a project bag.
If I could easily change it, I'd add more snowflake stitcheries and make the top rim a little larger. I may make those changes to the second bag I started with this one. I'm still optimistic that I'll get there by mid-January, but we'll see!
